1. Scope
This policy explains when and how Aeon Technologies refunds subscription fees and other charges paid to us for the Aeonzap platform — the Studio dashboard, the Engine storefront runtime, premium themes, marketplace apps published by us, and any add-on credits sold under the Aeonzap brand.
It does not apply to transactions on a merchant’s own storefront. If you are a shopper trying to return a product or get a refund on an order placed at an Aeonzap-powered store, please see section 10 below.
2. Free plan
The Aeonzap free plan does not require a payment method, and no charges are levied. There is consequently nothing to refund on the free plan, and downgrading from a paid plan to the free plan is handled under our Cancellation Policy.
3. Monthly subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance for the upcoming 30-day cycle. If you cancel a monthly plan, your subscription remains active until the end of the cycle you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of that cycle.
As a goodwill exception, if you cancel within 72 hours of your first paid monthly charge and have not used any paid-only features in that period, we will refund the charge in full upon written request to support@aeonzap.com.
4. Yearly subscriptions
Yearly subscriptions are billed in advance for a twelve-month term and are normally non-refundable. However, if you cancel a yearly subscription within 14 days of the payment date, we will issue a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the term, less any usage-based add-on fees and less the cash value of any introductory discount you redeemed.
After the 14-day window, cancellation under our Cancellation Policy stops auto-renewal at the end of the term but does not trigger a refund of fees already paid for the remainder of the current term, except where required by applicable Indian consumer-protection law.
5. Add-ons and usage charges
Usage-based charges — including but not limited to transactional SMS credits, WhatsApp message credits, premium theme licences, marketplace app one-time fees, additional storage, and metered API calls — are non-refundable once consumed or delivered.
Unconsumed credit balances at the time of cancellation are forfeited, with the exception of credit packs purchased within the previous 14 days where none of the credits have been used — those are refunded in full on request.
6. How to request a refund
To request a refund, send an email to support@aeonzap.com from the email address registered on your Aeonzap account, and include:
- Your store URL or workspace identifier.
- The order ID or invoice number of the payment in question.
- The reason for the request.
- Whether you would like the refund processed to the original payment method or held as Aeonzap credit.
Our support team will acknowledge your request within one business day and confirm whether it qualifies under this policy.
7. Processing timeline
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 to 10 business days from the date of approval. The exact time at which the amount reflects in your account depends on your bank or card network — domestic UPI and net-banking refunds typically clear within three working days, while international card refunds can take up to fifteen working days.
We will share the refund reference number from our payment processor (Razorpay or equivalent) once the refund has been initiated.
8. Disputes and chargebacks
We strongly prefer to resolve billing complaints directly. If something looks wrong on an invoice, please write to support@aeonzap.com before raising a chargeback with your bank — chargebacks invite additional processor fees that we are obliged to pass on, and they can interrupt service while we respond to the dispute.
If a chargeback is raised in respect of a charge that is, in our reasonable view, valid and owed, we may suspend the account until the dispute is resolved and recover the disputed amount and any associated processor fees from any future refund.
9. Fraudulent transactions
If you believe an Aeonzap charge on your statement was not authorised by you — for example because your card was used by someone else — email security@aeonzap.com immediately. We will freeze the affected account, investigate, and, where the transaction is confirmed fraudulent, reverse the charge in full within seven business days at no cost to you.
10. Storefront refunds (shoppers)
Aeon Technologies is not a party to the sale of goods or services on a merchant’s storefront. If you bought something at a store powered by Aeonzap and want a refund, you will need to follow the refund or return policy published by that merchant on their own storefront. The merchant is the seller of record, holds the funds (settled to their bank account through their payment processor), and is responsible for issuing the refund under their own policies and applicable law.
If you cannot reach the merchant, we are happy to share their registered contact email on request — write to support@aeonzap.com with the order ID and the store URL.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes — meaning anything that reduces a refund right available to you — will be notified by email and by an in-dashboard banner at least 30 daysbefore they take effect. The version in force at the time you paid the charge is the version that governs the refund for that charge.
